With over 42 years of dedication to martial arts and human performance, Punong Guro Fred Evrard was a world-renowned authority on tactical defense and holistic wellness. In 1998, he founded Kali Majapahit, a sophisticated synthesis of Southeast Asian arts, Western Boxing, and Jeet Kune Do. This system was further refined during a transformative four-year global odyssey, where Guro Fred and his wife, Guro Lila, immersed themselves in traditional combat arts and medicine across more than 20 countries.

A former paratrooper, Guro Fred served as a consultant for the French Ministry of Defense and has trained elite units globally, including the Singapore Security Command, Hong Kong VIPPU, and the Philippine Special Forces (SWAT). He was also the co-founder of the R.E.D. (Recognize & Escape Danger) program, a benchmark in modern situational awareness.

Guro Lila Evrard brings four decades of expertise to the Kali Majapahit system. Her journey began at age five in Tahiti, eventually leading her to trade a career in law for a lifelong mission of martial arts mastery. In 2010, her technical brilliance and leadership were recognized globally when she was named “Filipino Martial Arts Woman of the Year,” cementing her status as one of the world’s leading female instructors.

Guro Lila’s approach is a unique intersection of discipline and grace. Alongside her husband, Guro Fred, she spent four years traversing the globe to study under legendary masters and traditional healers. This immersion helped shape Kali Majapahit into the holistic, high-performance system it is today. Her diverse background spans traditional Southeast Asian arts, Tai Chi, and professional conditioning, complemented by her work as a TEDx speaker.
